The term “modified wood” describes the application of chemical, physical, or biological methods that are used to alter the cellular structure of the wood.

In the NewWave project, we are developing new chemical products of biological origin for such applications. Innorenew, is one of the project partners involved and they are currently testing new formulations based on Fast Pyrolysis Bio-Oil and Monomer of Propylene Glycol for the modification of wood through impregnation
